Meet Ms. Roney

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me!

Self Portrait

I have been working as an artist and art teacher for the past 16 years, and earned my BS and MS in Art Education from Nazareth College. Most of my teaching has been spent here in the Diocese of Rochester, although I did teach in local public schools and the Rochester City School District. I was an art teacher at Seton Catholic School, St. Margaret Mary School, and remain at St. Kateri School on the days I am not here.  I love going to work every day, and sharing my passion for art with all of you!

Making art is very important to me! I practice drawing daily, and I am always working on a project or new concept for a body of work. I primarily work with people as a subject, (although I recently completed a series called Animal Farm) and enjoy painting with oils, and drawing with chalk pastel. You can view my online portfolio HERE

I live in West Irondequoit with my husband, five children, and our foreign exchange student from Finland. We have two West Highland Terriers, and two guinea pigs. It is a full house! My husband is an artist too!  We opened the Art Center of Rochester, on Titus Ave, in January 2019. It is so much fun to bring more art experiences to our community!
